BMC Enterprises

BMC Enterprises was looking for a new site that showed off the companies they had acquired while still demonstrating their proficiency in the concrete industry. They wanted something that felt modern but still respected their long history.

Some interesting features of this site are the location map and the theming system built with the help of developer extraordinaire, Noah. The map allows each company's many locations be categorized and easily visible. The theming system can retool the logo and colors depending on the company that is being looked at. The system relies on CSS custom properties being changed at the root level per page. This was done while working at Studio 2108.

World Stone Group

World Stone Group home page

World Stone needed a new site that showed off the quality of work they do. This was an interesting challenge because of the multi-tiered menu system the site was going to require. The client wanted to focus people's attention on a few pages, but provide a wealth of information should someone want to dig deeper.

While I was working with them we also determined that the logo would need to be refreshed to perform better on screens moving forward. I reworked their logo, designed and developed the website. This was done while working at Studio 2108.

The Backstoppers

The BackStoppers needed a modern website to help welcome their 60th anniversary. They wanted the design to be distinguished and refined, while representing everyone that they help. A fresh take on their brand's colors and typography was the biggest factor in achieving this.

We knew that their old content would need to exist comfortably alongside new content moving forward, so I took special care to make everything feel at home. This was done while working at Studio 2108.

Wildwood Roofing

Wildwood Roofing & Construction was looking to increase the amount of commercial business they were bringing in and they felt that their old website did not accurately reflect the scope of work they were capable of. The new site also had to fit in with their updated branding, while performing well in SEO rankings. I was responsible for the site's design and development.

The client mentioned that he had access to drone footage, which I felt was a great opportunity to showcase their professionalism and quality of work (And the top of the house!). I did a lot of research on optimizing video for the web, which allowed us to use the fullscreen video on the homepage without adding greatly to the load time. This optimization led to my learning how to optimize the entire site, a skill which I have since brought to the entire company.

Wildwood Roofing services list

By emphasizing their professionalism and roofing knowledge through great imagery, clean use of space and well researched copy, this site communicates how great of a company Wildwood is. This was done while working at Studio 2108.

Synergy Health & Nutrition

Synergy aims to help people be happy and healthy through their products. We started with a new logo which reflected these values. The logo includes a "burst" which communicates a vibrance and energy.

Synergy Health & Nutrition Homepage

I used animations to continue the feeling of vibrance throughout the entire website. I wanted items you interact with to pop to life. Clicking the menu button for instance makes it pop to life and products all have a fun effect as well. Using an animated SVG we have a simple animation which I think enhances the happiness feeling even further without distracting. I was responsible for the design and development of this site. This was done while working at Studio 2108.

Clayco

Clayco already had a design for their site, so I was responsible for its development. This site was to serve as a template of sorts for more websites in the near future and beyond. They needed the site to be flexible enough to handle different companies' unique branding and they needed to edit and create new pages/content themselves. I created a system of layouts which would look good for anything in this family of sites using a Wordpress layout engine which the client could easily work with. The designers were very specific in asking how the site should behave responsively, so I developed a whole padding system which would scale appropriately at any size.

I developed the websites for Claycorp, CRG, Ventana and Concrete Strategies while also managing the client communication. I had help developing the more interactive parts and the mapping systems from my team members. You can easily see the similarities and how they vary in subtle ways, usually in color and font weight. Each site does a great job of showing off their many projects and the scope and quality of work they provide. This was done while working at Studio 2108.
